14h00: Presentation by Kate Robinson of the ADU at UCT on Waders, Nature’s International Globe Trotters, Monitoring Across the Hemispheres
12h00: Talk on “Fascinating Weaver Nests” by Dr Dieter Oschadleus of the Animal Demography Unit followed by an outing to view weaver colonies in Stanford
15h300: Talk by Zintja Wallar
17h300: Free Stretton’s Gin tasting and photographic competitions prize-giving at the Stanford Galleries Art Cafe
18h00-20h00: Bumper Stanford Farmers’ Market on Market Square

Saturday, 1st October

07h30: Three-hour guided field trip by Dave de Beer to find the Cape RockJumper and other birds endemic to the Overberg. (Limited to 14 people, booking essential, R100 per person - self-catering)
09h00: Hand puppet show for children at the Stanford Community Centre – free
09h00: Talk by Peter Chadwick – subject to be confirmed
11h00: “Eagle Encounters” live display of raptors at the Stanford Community Centre - free
